Product Demonstrations
PWD conducts product demonstrations on a wide variety of items including both food and non-food products. A demonstration is booked on a daily basis for a 7 hour shift.
The Process…
The following details the roles of all involved to ensure all demonstrations are properly executed.
COSTCO BUYER
Negotiates the number of demo days with the Vendor
Places purchase order with PWD for appropriate number of demonstrations a minimum of 5 weeks prior
Receives schedule from PWD and orders additional stock as required to cover increased sales
VENDOR
Agrees in writing with the buyer as to their specific demo commitment
Reviews emailed or faxed Demo Orders from PWD, signs off as confirmed and faxes back to PWD (contacts Buyer directly if wanting to change order).
Supplies product information for a well prepared and interactive demo.
PWD
PWD follows Costco's direction for all scheduled demonstrations that includes changes, additions etc.
Receives Demo Purchase Orders from Buyers.
Processes the Purchase Order by scheduling date and time of demo based on a 7 day week.
Communicates the scheduled demonstrations to Buyer and Vendor.
Organizes logistics and executes demo at warehouse.
Issues a Demo Report and invoice approximately 4 weeks after demonstration to Vendor
Communication is the critical link to ensuring demonstrations are executed in a successful manner.
PWD emails or faxes the confirmations of upcoming demos to the Vendor approximately 3 weeks prior to the demo dates.
The Vendor is to sign and return via fax to PWD to ensure confirmation of demos.
At this time, if the Vendor wishes to make changes to the demo order he/she must do so through the Buyer.
If for whatever reason PWD does not receive the signed confirmation back the demos will still run as scheduled.
